Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®)

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is the most widely used personality inventory in the world and has been used for over 50 years with millions of individuals to address many types of      organizational needs.  Individuals using the MBTI® obtain a personal profile based on their preferences that places them into one of sixteen “types”.  Each type has a unique set of characteristics that contribute to the individual’s personal approach to communication style, learning methods, and work habits.  This tool enables participants to gain a greater understanding of themselves and the ways that they interact with others including dynamics related to communication, problem solving, decision making, and conflict management.  Training with the Myers-Briggs is both enjoyable and insightful, and can lead to productive changes in organizational effectiveness.  For more information about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and related products used by Conflict Solutions Ohio please visit www.cpp.com/products/mbti/index.asp.


Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI)

The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument is widely used by individuals and organizations who want to understand and reduce conflict.  It is an excellent tool for assessing conflict styles and has been in use for over 25 years.  Individuals respond to 30 statement pairs and learn which of five conflict modes they prefer to use in most situations.  Training with this tool helps participants understand how each mode – avoiding, accommodating, compromising, competing, and collaborating – can be appropriate and inappropriate.  They also recognize how each conflict mode affects personal and group dynamics.  More information about the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument can be obtained at www.cpp.com/products/tki/index.asp.


Style Matters: The Kraybill Conflict Style Inventory

This conflict style assessment tool is very similar to the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI).  It also identifies the five primary conflict styles but uses slightly different language in describing them.  In addition it has the benefit of factoring in some cultural distinctions (individualistic vs. collectivist cultures) and is less expensive than the TKI.  The tool is easy to use and understand.  For more information go to www.riverhouseepress.com/.


Emotional Intelligence Skills Assessment (EISA)

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is now widely recognized as being more important that cognitive intelligence (IQ) in the performance of individuals in the workplace, especially in leadership positions.  The Emotional Intelligence Skills Assessment (EISA) is a tool that will both measure EQ and provide strategies and techniques for making improvements in social and emotional functioning.  The EISA can be used with individuals or teams, including both a self-assessment and a 360 format, and can be taken using a paper version on on-line.   It can be used as the foundation for training workshops that will enable participants to enhance their emotional intelligence and learn how to apply these skills in the workplace.  For more information about the Emotional Intelligence Skills Assessment go to www.pfeiffer.com/go/eisa.


Parker Team Player Survey (PTPS)

Experiential Team Building
